With all the experience gained since the launch of the Rise, Orbea presents a completely revised and optimized 360 watt-hour battery. Weighing 1.8 kilograms, it is a full 300 grams lighter than its predecessor. This also means that the Rise M LTD weighs a breathtakingly light 15.9 kilograms.
The new battery is based on 21,700 cells with better charging and discharging behavior and improved heat management. The new battery is not only more compact than its predecessor, but now also has integrated attachment points for mounting in the frame. This saves a few more grams and improves the weight distribution in the frame, which in turn has a positive effect on natural handling.
This 360 watt-hour battery also fits the current aluminum models of the Rise. The perfect choice for those who want the ultimate RS experience at a more affordable price.
But that's not all. All new carbon models of the Rise are also compatible with the 540 watt-hour battery that was introduced last year with the aluminum version of the bike. And this without any restrictions on the clean and integrated look that is so typical of this bike. The carbon models of the Rise come with the 360 watt-hour battery as standard.
If you want the best handling and the ultimate RS experience, the 360 watt-hour battery is the right choice. However, if you are looking for longer adventures with more range, go for the larger 540 watt-hour battery.
For really long tours, the range extender with its additional 252 watt hours is available. Regardless of whether you choose the carbon or aluminum model: With the range extender, the Rise offers up to 792 watt hours. Thanks to the bike's excellent energy management, you have to ride for a long time to push this battery to its limits.
Regardless of whether it is made of carbon or aluminum, the 2023 Rise models use the same electronic interfaces. This means that the same range extenders or fast chargers can be used. For example, the carbon Rise can now be charged with a charging current of 4 amps, while the range extender is charged with 2 amps.
