Pedelec

The Pedelec is a bicycle with electric driving assistance. This means that the electric drive only supports you when you pedal yourself. As soon as you step on the pedal with force, the support kicks in gently. Various manufacturers (Bosch, Brose, Shimano, Yamaha, Specialized, and many more) offer electric drives. With different power levels and engine outputs. What they all have in common and was stipulated by law is that they can only travel at a maximum speed of 25km/h and are therefore still considered bicycles. At speeds above 25km/h the engine switches off and no longer provides any assistance.

S-Pedelecs

In principle, S-Pedelecs are designed in the same way as a Pedelec, only the speed limiter only kicks in at 45km/h. Therefore, an insurance license plate is necessary, it is also compulsory to wear a helmet and you must take out liability insurance. In addition, you need a class AM driving license and the driver must be at least 16 years old. This means that cycle paths can no longer be used and going off-road is also prohibited. Hardtail

Here we now have a variety of different bikes. The hardtail that only has suspension at the front, with which you can cycle up to a hut on forest roads, or ride on a forest and meadow path without having to place great demands on your riding technique. Then there are the purists who just want to ride a hardtail and they will be happy on the hardtail. However, if you want to do a lot of tours and also want a little more comfort, you should definitely choose a full-suspension bike.

Fully tours

We probably have the highest sales figures for the full-suspension E-Touren Fully. Moderate steering angle, more upright seating position, a lot of comfort and a suspension travel of 120-140mm. The touring fully has the same engine, but it doesn't have quite as big tires as the enduro e-bike, for example. It is therefore well suited for all mountain bike tours, whether high mountains or hut tours. Handier, more maneuverable and lighter, nothing stands in the way of fun. The touring fullies are ideal for leisurely tours or even an Alpine cross. The Tourenfully e-bikes are also available with different engine variants. Cycle comfortably up the mountains without spending too much thought on the bike and cycle comfortably through nature. It becomes borderline when you want to tackle steep descents and fast downhills; here the bike feels nervous and needs an experienced handlebar and increased attention. If you go to this region, you should look into the All Mountain or Enduro category.

All-mountain fully

On the All Mountain E-Bike Fully we have a suspension travel of 130-160mm. They differ in geometry from the touring fullies, with a flatter head angle and a slightly longer top tube. The flatter seat angle means you can handle steeper downhill sections better, but the bike is no longer as easy to control. The All Mountain Fullies have shorter chainstays, which contribute to greater maneuverability and thus compensate for the flat steering angle. The tires are also a bit coarser and the bikes are usually equipped with 29 inch wheels. Only in the small frame sizes do you use the smaller 27.5 inch wheels to achieve a better standover height. For the experienced rider the ideal bike for all types of tours. The right vehicle for the ambitious beginner to develop further and find fun on more difficult terrain.

Enduro

The Enduro e-bike is intended for bikers who want to be out and about in the bike park or on difficult, steep downhills. No compromises are made here. Coarse enduro tires, suspension fork with thick standpipes, large braking system, stable wheels remind us of a motorcycle. Stable and safe it goes down the mountain quite quickly. The enduro e-bikes can easily handle even jumps. The engine power is the same as with the other E-MTBs, but due to the higher weight, you can't achieve as many meters in altitude or distance. The whole concept is designed for downhill fun. Shooting for all you're worth is part of the program. Some manufacturers rely on different wheel sizes, known in professional circles as Mullet. A 29-inch wheel at the front and a 27.5-inch wheel at the rear result in more maneuverability in the curves. The rear is easy to get around corners, drifting is easier and thus increases the driving pleasure. The enduro bikes usually have 160-180mm of travel, a very slack head angle and a higher bottom bracket to handle even the biggest steep steps. But such bikes are also interesting for beginners. The extra weight means the bike sits even more firmly on the ground, and the fat tires and sturdy rims mean you can get started without having to worry too much. Without having to worry about whether the bike can withstand my wild riding style. Enduro devices are also very popular with beginners, especially those with a little more weight.

Lightweight trail bikes

Suitable for light, sporty mountain bikers who compensate for less motor and battery power with higher performance. The promise of the new genre of lightweight trail bikes. The motor power is throttled depending on the manufacturer and is in the range of 25-65Nm torque (in contrast, normal e-bikes have 85N).

The lightweight trail e-bike can also be carried for short sections. This means that the alpine high mountain trail can be mastered very easily.
