The Focus team is at home in the green slopes around Stuttgart. Here they personally test their bikes through their paces. And only if a bike meets their high standards does it come onto the market. Focus has set itself the goal of developing and manufacturing the world's best bikes with smart functions. For them, the “German Engineered” seal is not just an empty phrase. On the contrary, Focus is committed to implementing the high standards and develops and manufactures every single bike in Germany.

That's how it was back then. At the beginning of the 1990s – in the first peak phase of mountain biking. In 1993, the Focus team brought three-time cyclocross world champion Mike Kluge on board. With his help, they initially only designed mountain bikes, but their range soon grew to include trekking bikes, road racing bikes and finally even time trial bikes. Today Focus offers a wide range of mountain bikes, e-mountain bikes, cross-city bikes, racing bikes and cyclocross bikes.

The Focus team doesn't settle for mediocre standards. They are always working on innovations, want to create unique riding experiences and let every biker surpass themselves. A claim that they implement with every bike and because of which the Swabians are repeatedly celebrated by the trade press and awarded numerous prizes.

Their patented rear triangle system FOLD (FOCUS OPTIMIZED LINKAGE DESIGN) has also caused a sensation and offers several advantages with its sophisticated kinematics. Thanks to the appropriately designed two-phase kinematics, it is super sensitive and at the same time has enough reserves in difficult terrain. It also offers first-class traction even in rough corners thanks to the adapted chassis flex. The driving dynamics are also balanced and dynamic due to the low and central center of gravity of the dampers, linkages and bearings - especially in technically demanding terrain and curves. An advantage of FOLD that is noticeable after just a few meters on the bike and can be used for all full-suspension Focus mountain bikes. No matter whether enduro, all-mountain, trail or cross country.

Focus also set new standards when it came to e-bikes and e-mobility when they integrated a 378 Wh battery into their bikes two years ago. Their revolutionary two-battery system TEC (Tailored Energy Concept) defines the Focus e-bike range to this day. With TEC, it's up to you how you design your ride. Focus' tailor-made energy concept offers you an adjustable battery capacity of up to 756 Wh - cleverly divided into two equally powerful batteries. You choose the battery equipment that suits your needs. Either you ride as many trails as possible with the integrated battery, or you expand your dimensions with an additionally available battery, the TEC Pack. It's easy to install and allows you to ride up and down and back up the trails more often. So you never have to make compromises when biking again!

Focus' goal is always the SQUARED EXPERIENCE. A new dimension of biking where the best of e-bike experience and pure MTB experience come together. For this purpose, Focus develops particularly agile e-bikes that ride like their equivalent mountain bikes without support, but take full advantage of the advantages of electric drives. They do this excellently. It is not for nothing that the Focus SAM² became the winner of the Winner Design & Innovation Award, 2018.

FOCUS mountain bikes – unlimited riding fun for over a quarter of a century

FOCUS Bikes attaches great importance to making cycling fun. To ensure optimum control and traction off-road, all FOCUS full suspension bikes are equipped with the FOLD (Focus Optimized Linkage Design) rear suspension system. This suspension technology reacts extremely sensitively to bumps and at the same time offers enough reserves for rough terrain.
