Tuned stiffness
Stiff where it counts: Bicycle frames can be either too stiff or too flexible. When it comes to optimal performance, the right amount of stiffness in the right places is important. Orbea worked hard to increase the stiffness of the front triangle by 8% and the rear triangle by 14%, which creates the perfect balance. Tests have shown that this allows optimal handling: stiff enough for fast cornering and hard braking, but not too stiff, which would reduce traction and lead to faster fatigue when riding.
Asymmetrical design
The new asymmetrical frame design of the Rise, which has already proven itself on the new Occam and Rallon, is a key factor for optimal performance. The position of the mount and the design of the SBS battery (Secure Battery
System) increase torsional rigidity. The result? The best possible driving experience thanks to precise, reliable handling - no matter what trail.
Size-specific stiffness
The asymmetric frame design allows Orbea to adjust the stiffness across all frame sizes. This means that tube lengths and breakaway torque change, but the ride quality of the Rise remains the same.
Long Vario seat posts
Steep'n'Deep has set a new standard in bike design. The large insertion depth allows the saddle to be lowered so far that it is not in the way when going downhill. This provides more freedom of movement and control. All frame sizes can accommodate dropper posts up to 200 mm, and frame sizes L and XL even have an insertion depth for Vario seat posts of up to 230 mm.
