Einlegesohlen im Radsport braucht jeder, da der Fuß anderen Belastungen als beim Gehen ausgesetzt ist. Da beim Radfahren keine Kräfte wie beim Gehen wirken, kann auch auf die Dämpfungsfunktion des Fußes verzichtet werden. Durch das Absinken der Fußgewölbe wird der Fuß selbst ermüdet, das Knie höher belastet und vor allem die direkte Kraft auf das Pedal vermindert. Die übermäßige Bewegung des Fußes im Radschuh kann weiterführend zu Nerven- oder Gefäßeinengungen führen, die sich in Kribbeln oder Taubheitsgefühlen äußern. .
