Competition drives innovation, and race organizers are preparing increasingly difficult and technically demanding courses that push the limits of lightweight components. For this reason, we've evolved the FOX 32 Step-Cast fork to meet the current demands of racers. A redesigned crown with minimal weight increase brings stiffness to the same level as our FOX 34 Trail fork.

Technology:

STEP-CAST (SC) - The distinctive shape of the outer legs isn't just for looks; it utilizes the narrow shape to reduce weight, and the design creates additional space for the spokes and brake rotor. The FOX 32 SC features 32mm diameter inner legs with a large bushing overlap for a high-quality ride, and the hollow lower legs provide even more weight savings.

FIT4 - The fourth generation of the patented closed FIT cartridge allows compression adjustment on the spring head to three positions (Open, Medium, Closed) for optimal damping adjustment to riding conditions (the remote control only offers two positions: Open-Closed). The top-of-the-line Factory series fork also offers fine-tuning of the open position (within a range of 22 clicks), allowing every rider to fine-tune the compression to their own preferences.

FLOAT (FOX Load Optimum Air Technology) - The air suspension on all FOX FLOAT forks with 100 to 200 mm of travel is enhanced by a special air piston with a linear resistance/compression force curve as close as possible to that of a steel spring. Starting in 2018, the 32, 34, 36, and 40 Series forks feature the new FLOAT system, which reduces weight and requires less force to retract the fork from the rest position. This ensures excellent small-bump response for all riders and pressure settings.

AIR VOLUME SPACERS (air chambers) - The pressure progression can be further refined using inserts that define a positive air chamber, allowing each rider to adjust the suspension to their own requirements and riding preferences.

EVOL (EXTRA VOLUME) - The larger negative air chamber significantly improves the fork's responsiveness. This increases comfort by reducing breakaway torque. Furthermore, the more linear spring curve offers better performance, especially in the mid-stroke range.

KASHIMA COAT - A revolutionary inner leg coating technology that electrodeposits molybdenum disulfide into the micropores is used exclusively on FOX Factory Series forks and shocks. The brown-gold leg surface reduces mechanical friction by up to 40% compared to conventional hard anodizing. It gives the fork a buttery smooth ride and is significantly more resistant to mechanical damage.

CABOLT - Fixed leverless 15mm diameter fork wrench that increases overall fork stiffness by up to 25% and torsional stiffness by 15%, while significantly reducing weight compared to the FOX QR15 quick release axle.
