The discreetly designed Hyde Race combines the robustness of a mountain bike with racing bike-worthy speed, plus a touch of city chic. With its Schwalbe G-One all-round tires, this bike rolls through the city like lightning. And thanks to the smooth, super robust Gates CDX timing belt and the Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub gear, you can change from gear to gear easily and precisely. And so that the issue of safety is not neglected with so much forward momentum, the powerful hydraulic Shimano disc brakes, which work regardless of the weather, bring the bike to a reliable and controlled stop. In short: a light, precisely controllable overall package for lots of urban driving fun!
When developing the Hyde Race, we based ourselves on our mountain bike hardtails. Double-butted aluminum tube sets and fast 700c tires ensure a lot of forward momentum and a high level of driving comfort, while seamlessly integrated mounting points enable individual retrofitting with luggage racks and mudguards. The low-maintenance timing belt can be tensioned via the eccentric bottom bracket - the frame opening for assembly is inconspicuously above the dropout. Finally, a slim, stiff fork completes the frame, its specialty: crisp, precise steering behavior in combination with little weight and a subtle look.
