BRAND NEW INTRODUCED
Specialized Status 2
The STATUS 2 finds the limits of mountain bikes and pushes them. Is it a trail bike? Yes. Park bike? Yes. Riding to the store and sneaking a ride along a concrete wall? Oh yes. The STATUS 2 is a bike that wants to be ridden, no matter how or where you ride.
Whether you're on the trails, at the bike park, on the streets, or just cutting corners with your friends on a local hill, the STATUS 2 allows you to ride your way.
- 100% redesigned, durable aluminum chassis
- New, more durable aluminum rims
- Horst Link Geometry adjustment with flip-chip
- Updated geometry for greater usability
- Selected parts specifications for your desired driving experience

BUILT BY DRIVERS
Each build starts with a super-strong M5 aluminum frame and tough aluminum wheels. Strong suspension, powerful brakes, and popular drivetrain options round out these builds to soak up big hits, pedal smoothly, and provide plenty of stopping power. It's not for gram counters—it's for those riders who push the limits of progress and come back for more.

TUNED DRIVING DYNAMICS
Before it arrives at your door or our bike shop, each STATUS 2 receives a custom shock tune from the Specialized Ride Dynamics team—a group that lives, sleeps, and breathes mountain bike suspension. The shock's characteristics are designed to perfectly complement the kinematics of the new STATUS 2.

LET'S GET PERSONAL
Each model of the STATUS 2 features neatly packaged flip chips (at the Horst pivot, near the rear axle) that allow riders to fine-tune the geometry of the frame to suit their desired ride or terrain. The bikes ship in the tall position, but can be "flipped" to a lower and slacker position—8mm lower bottom bracket and half a degree slacker head tube angles.

Status 140 VS. Status 160
The differences between the Specialized Status 140 and the Specialized Status 160 are primarily in the amount of travel and the focus of use. Here are the main differences:

Federweg
- Specialized Status 140: As the name suggests, this model has 140mm of travel. This means that the suspension offers 140mm of vertical movement. This version is more suitable for trail riding and all-mountain use.
- Specialized Status 160: The 160mm travel model offers longer suspension with 160mm of vertical travel. This makes it better suited for more aggressive enduro riding and downhill riding.
Geometrie
The geometry can vary slightly between the two models to suit different uses. The model with 160 mm travel has a slightly more downhill-oriented geometry.
equipment
Depending on the model year and equipment level, the two variants can have different components and suspension elements. The model with 160 mm travel will often be equipped with more powerful components and a robust suspension.
