Feel the downhill power

When we were considering whether we should really give the V10 27.5" wheels If you missed out, we reached out to our Syndicate team to get feedback. The team was already on prototypes and drove them successfully in the World Cup. By the time the 2014 season was over, the bike already had a World Cup title and a World Championship medal under its belt. These successes speak for themselves, and yet we continued to work passionately on the further development of this bike.

We designed the spring characteristic curve to be a little more linear in order to achieve constant damping performance over the entire spring travel. Carbon layup analyzes and optimization of the frame shape enabled us to use the carbon frame material much more efficiently. We were able to invest the material saved in particularly heavily stressed areas of the frame to ensure that the bike can withstand Ratboy's violent impacts. The main frame and the swingarm score points with larger tube diameters - but we'll leave the endless talk about the positive effects on load capacity and stiffness at this point. The new framework Benefits from the slightly longer front to meet the individual requirements of each driver. However, our athletes always felt that we achieved a good balance with our rear triangle length. That's why we focused on maintaining these dimensions despite the larger 27.5" wheels.

The presentation of a new, slightly cheaper carbon version enabled us to make a high-performance bike affordable to more riders and to achieve an increase in speed for World Cup athletes and recreational riders alike. The stiffness, durability and resilience of the two materials are identical, but the new C-carbon carries around 370 grams more weight on the ribs than the high-end CC version.
