The Evolution Of Mondraker Dune
2009
In 2009, the DUNE debuted as a no-compromise enduro bike. It was the first bike from the Mondraker brand to be equipped with the innovative Zero Suspension suspension system. With an aluminum frame, 160 mm of travel on the front and rear axles, and an optional 170 mm fork for the XR version, the DUNE quickly positioned itself at the top of the Enduro World Series, which was still in its infancy at the time. The model, which was also available as a carbon variant from 2015, remained an integral part of the Mondraker range until 2020.
2024
For Mondraker, the DUNE has always been the incarnation of an enduro bike for the most demanding terrain. The valuable experience and achievements gained with the DUNE have been incorporated into the development of the FOXY and SUPERFOXY models. Now everything comes together: the DUNE is a light e-MTB that combines the quintessence and accumulated know-how of the original DUNE and the FOXY and SUPERFOXY lines. It represents the natural evolution of enduro biking.
Which Dune is right for me?
Variety for every need
The Dune is available in three different builds, all of which use the same Stealth Air Carbon frame and rely on the Mullet wheel setup. While the Dune R and Dune RR are equipped with 170 mm forks, the Dune XR has a 180 mm fork for even more control and comfort on rough terrain. All 3 builds rely on the same tires (Maxxis Assegai 29x2.5" WT front and Maxxis Minion DHR II 27.5x2.4" WT rear), 4-piston brakes with 200 mm discs front and rear, and ONOFF 800 mm handlebars and 30 mm stems.
Dune R: THE ENTRY LEVEL BUILD
The DUNE R is the entry into the world of the DUNE. A 170mm FOX 38 Float 3P Performance Grip fork keeps the front wheel in check, while a Fox Float X Performance EVOL shock does the job at the rear. SRAM supplies the GX Eagle rear derailleur and E.13 its E*Spec Plus cranks, ONOFF the Pija Dropper Post, SRAM the DB8 brakes and e*thirteen Grappler Core wheels with 30mm wide aluminum rims round off the whole thing.
Dune RR: THE BALANCED OPTION
The RR model is equipped with a 170mm Öhlins RXF 38 M.2 29 fork, an Öhlins TTX Air 205X65mm shock, a SRAM drivetrain with GX Eagle AXS T-Type rear derailleur, E.13 E*Spec Plus cranks, an ONOFF Pija seatpost, SRAM Code Bronze Stealth 4-Piston brakes and e*thirteen Grappler Race wheels with 30mm wide aluminum rims.
DUNE XR: THE HARDEST HITTING OF THE THREE
The DUNE XR is the only build with a 180mm fork and a coil shock. It has an Öhlins RXF 38 M.2 29 fork, the Öhlins TTX22M.2 205x65mm shock, SRAM X0 Eagle AXS T-Type rear derailleur, E.13 TRS Race Carbon cranks, SRAM Code Ultimate Stealth brakes, RockShox Reverb Stealth AXS seatpost and e*thirteen Grappler Race Carbon wheels.

Unique design meets unmatched performance
The Dune is based on a Stealth Air carbon frame that weighs just 2650 grams and integrates the new Bosch Performance SX motor. This combination promises an exceptional balance between lightness and power. With 165 mm of rear wheel travel and a Forward Geometry tailored to light e-MTBs, the Mondraker Dune sets new standards in terms of ride feel and agility on the trail.
Forward geometry and zero suspension system
The Dune's updated Zero Suspension System improves responsiveness and provides greater chassis progression, while Forward Geometry provides greater stability and safety at high speeds. These technical innovations ensure an unparalleled driving experience by maximizing comfort and control in every situation.
DUNE + BOSCH: A perfect partnership
The integration of the Bosch Performance SX drive unit with 55Nm torque and a 400 Wh battery enables up to 1500 meters of altitude on a single charge. In addition, the Dune can be equipped with the BOSCH PowerMore 250 Wh range extender, which offers up to 60% more range and thus significantly increases endurance on long tours.
