Focus Izalco Max

Engineers have worked intensively on all the important adjustment screws to reach the next level of aerodynamic performance. The result is particularly aerodynamic, refined NACA shapes. And that's not all: a conventional water bottle on the down tube is almost completely hidden from the wind with a minimal impact of just 0.3 W. Unfortunately, we all have no personal helpers and have to carry our own water. By saving 6.6 watts at 45 km/h, it is 1 minute 47 seconds faster over a distance of 45 km compared to its predecessor.

Finding the perfect balance between stiffness and comfort is the ultimate goal of frame construction. This is exactly what has been achieved specifically for the new IZALCO MAX. A stiff bottom bracket and a fork optimized for lateral stiffness ensure that the power is transferred directly to the road.

Confidence in your bike makes you ride faster. The IZALCO MAX is known for its outstanding handling and playful character. These characteristics have been preserved and the geometry refined to make cornering easier, especially at high speeds. This increases confidence and therefore the speed at which the bike can be ridden

The CIS road bike stem hides the cables under the stem, which provides a clean look and aerodynamic advantages. It also has an integrated mount for bike computers from Wahoo and Garmin. You can also attach a light or an action camera to this mount if you need it. To simplify maintenance, the handlebar stem unit can be easily removed to store the IZALCO MAX safely in a bike bag.

The IZALCO MAX is available in seven sizes. Combined with the stem, which comes in six lengths from 70 to 120 mm, it really does offer all sizes for every person. You can effortlessly switch to a shorter or longer stem to adjust your fit - and also add and remove stem spacers without having to open up any brake lines. All of this increases the customizability of the IZALCO MAX and the ability to tune it exactly to your needs.

The weight of a frame depends on many factors, including aerodynamics, stiffness, structure and carbon fiber. If you change any of these factors, the weight will most likely change too - for better or worse. What does that mean? The IZALCO Max is not a road bike designed exclusively for the mountains. Nor is it a hyper-aerodynamic time trial bike. It is as light as possible, but at the same time meets our high standards for aerodynamics, stiffness and carbon fiber quality. This results in a frame weight of 865 g for the 9th series and 1050 g for the 8th series, both in frame size M, with an additional 400 g for the fork.
