True to its motto, the Focus SAM 2 scores with a modern, long, and slack geometry without going too far. The high front end ensures a pleasantly upright posture and gives you a feeling of absolute control, even at maximum speed downhill. You'll never have that unpleasant feeling of going over the handlebars, yet you still enjoy optimal front wheel grip in fast, open corners. "Plenty of stack" is the recipe for success here.

The heart of the FOCUS SAM² is its high-quality chassis: It delivers first-class support and precise feedback from the road surface without sacrificing comfort or grip. The kinematics were specifically tuned for steel spring dampers, and the tight internal chassis tuning is the result of passionate development work. This ensures the SAM² has massive reserves and confident control at all times without annoying bottoming.

220 mm brake discs ensure that the SAM² decelerates powerfully and reliably, even on the longest descents, and comes to a stop in a flash. Combined with the grippy tires and the active rear end, the bike always offers sufficient traction to optimally transfer its powerful braking performance to the trail.

With full Bosch power, the SAM² challenges you to ever-greater laps. The 5th-generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor still delivers a powerful 85 Nm of torque, but now provides even longer and more powerful assistance on steep climbs – and all while producing significantly less noise. It remains pleasantly quiet at all times, with no annoying rattling.

With the FOCUS SAM², you can choose between the lighter 600 Wh and the more powerful 800 Wh battery – both can be easily removed from the down tube and upgraded later. With the Bosch Range Extender, up to 1050 Wh is possible. The exception is the top-of-the-line SAM² 6.0 model, which is equipped with the 600 Wh battery ex works for optimal handling, but can be upgraded to 800 Wh at any time at your dealer.
